Principal designer Tony Stanton and his team of four associates are dedicated to producing exciting garden designs built on sound horticultural practice. Tony, Tracy, Jennie,Lee and Kylie are expert horticulturists who believe that stunning gardens start with state-of-the-art soil preparation and are finished with zealous attention to planting and construction detail. Tony has a Building Supervisor licence so all designs encompass everything from front kerb to back fence.
All of the designers are committed to designing climate-compatible gardens. That is gardens that are low maintenance because they need little or no supplementary watering and add little or no heat to the environment. That is, they work with the conditions not against them. Balancing the need for sealed surfaces for traffic and entertaining with the need for plants to cool the home environment and produce oxygen is a key requirement of their designs.
The team believes that a truly great garden design is one that produces a garden the client loves to spend time in. Producing such a design requires knowledge of the clients taste, experiences, memories, interests and budget. Doing that requires a lengthy conversation usually taking two hours initially and continuing over the design process. Each garden is then unique and its beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder.
From design to completed gardenis a different path for every client. Some will take the DIY avenue, others will have the garden built by qualified landscapers and still others will do a bit of both. Living Pictures by Tony Stanton can help source contractors and can supervise the project regardless of who builds it to ensure that the outcome is true to the plans and vision.
